Arizona Nordic Village and North Country HealthCare are proud to present the 11th Annual Flagstaff Marathon, “The Coolest Marathon in Arizona”. This event benefits the Angel Fund at North Country HealthCare, supporting the uninsured and underinsured in our community who need healthcare.
The Flagstaff Marathon is a completely off-road course in the Coconino National Forest. It is known as one of the most challenging courses in the country, at 8,000+ ft elevation and 1,862 feet of climbing for the half marathon, single and double tracks. Participants can register for the full marathon, half marathon, 10K, or Kids Kilo events.
For the half marathon race, the runner will complete each red and black loop shown once. For the full marathon, each loop will be run twice.

The Flagstaff Marathon is a completely off-road course in the Coconino National Forest. You can expect gorgeous views at 8,650 feet elevation plus 1,862 feet of climbing (for the full and half).
Arizona Nordic Village is located 15 miles northwest of Flagstaff, Arizona. From Flagstaff, take Highway 180 and follow signs to the Grand Canyon. Arizona Nordic Village – 16848 U.S. 180 Flagstaff, AZ 86001.
Each runner will receive free lunch from Bayou By You, specializing in Cajun and creole classics. We’ll also keep you fueled with plenty of snacks, drinks and beer from New Belgium.
Kids can participate in the Kids Kilo (FREE), sponsored by Girls on the Run of Northern Arizona. The rest of the family can cheer from the sidelines and enjoy food, drinks and music!
You’ll need a place to crash after all that running. So here are some of our favorite hotels in the area.
Packets can be picked up Friday, September 16 from 4 to 7 p.m. at Kickstand Kafe, 719 N. Humphreys, Flagstaff, AZ 86001. Directions to Kickstand Kafe. Packets will also be available at the marathon, just make sure to arrive one hour before your race starts.
You can pay online with credit/debit card at RunSignUp. Registration fees are non-refundable.
Yes! You will be on a mix of closed forest service roads, single track and game trails. This is a trail race therefore the distances are approximate and may not match what your GPS says.
The top three men and women in each race will be awarded. Runners will not be awarded by age category. Everyone gets a finisher medal. Woo hoo!
